Despite the gloomy predictions, and numerous changes of plan, there was not a hint of rain in Sheffield on Saturday, and by the end of the day the St Marks was bathed in glorious sunshine. The day was kicked off by the children’s fancy dress parade through Broomhill, and by 2 o’clock the 2007 Broomhill Festival Garden Party was in full swing. Cakes, treasures and books where flying off the stalls as over 1000 people came through the gates to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere that surrounded the church all day. A big thanks to all the people who helped at the Garden Party and at all the festival events, your brilliant efforts help to raise an estimated £17,000 for the festival charities!
